Fee
Structure
A discussion of a financial advisory practice would not be complete
without a disclosure of compensation. The fee structure at Steven
Young Financial Planning is designed to eliminate conflicts of interest
between our clients and ourselves. For comprehensive financial planning,
I charge a flat fee based on the complexity of client situations
and the time involved. Investment Management retainers are billed
as percentage of assets under management on a quarterly basis. There
are never any additional fees charged by our firm. You know, up
front, how much our services cost and exactly what services you
receive. By not charging commissions, we eliminate the conflict
of interest of profiting financially from our recommendations. In
addition, clients know that our loyalty is to them and not to a
brokerage firm, Mutual fund or insurance company.
Expert
advice specific to your situation is valuable. No valuable service
is available without cost. In fact, if a valuable service appears
to be free, it’s reasonable to wonder how much it really costs,
and why the service provider is hiding that cost from you.
